Do you ever have a moment when something during your day triggers a song in your head? For me, it's almost like I can't help it. Someone says something, and *boom* I think of a song. I read an email, then, subconsciously, start humming softly. I'm driving down the road and see an accident or a tree or a billboard, *wham-o* I'm singing.
Then there are seasons of life in which a song or an album becomes the soundtrack. Then, later in life, when you hear those songs again, *ka-blam* you're back in 7th grade, or Sunday School, or college, or making out with someone...whatever! Recently, I've been listening quite a bit to Andy Gullahorn's album, Reinvent the Wheel. It seems to really be that soundtrack I've been looking for, but without looking for it. Music just happens to you sometimes, I think... This album has definitely happened to me. Desperate Man, More of a Man, Alright Here, and more... I highly encourage the purchase of this album, esp. if you're into Christian folk.
